1a We’re eating at a friend’s. The meal is very frugal. We are still hungry. I say that I will buy a sandwich.

1b A friend comes with me. We take the elevator and descend the street, in search of a bakery.

2a We’re coming back with huge sandwiches.

2b While we’re arriving at the elevator, a very young man, that I do not know, rush at my sandwich. He bites a big piece of it.

3a I give the rest of my sandwich to my friend and squeeze the guy in a corner. He’s terrorized. Calmly, my friend tells me: "Educationally, this is not the best thing to do."

3b I let the kid go, and he runs off. The elevator does not move.

4a In the bottom of the lift cage, a small corridor goes to another elevator. Maybe this one will work.

5a Suddenly my friend rush off in the first elevator, that rises immediately. It always has my sandwich.

6a Two women in apron push the huge lift cage until the first lift’s location.

6b people enter. A huge hook grabs the lift cage. it rises. We ascend several floors.

7a Other people enter again. We are more and more numerous.

7b The lift cage is pushed outside the building. It is hung above emptiness, in the middle of the night.

8a We reach the next building. We’re continuing the ascension. It’s endless.

8b I never will reach back the apartment. I will not eat my sandwich.
